OVERFLOW Harvest Gift Day 2026
You are invited!
This Harvest gift day is an unashamed call for us to worship God together with our finances, as well as our words, bodies, time, energy, and actions.
The vision is Jesus.
It all starts with the mind-blowing, outrageous claim that God loves you!
Wholehearted Worship
This harvest gift day is all about worshipping Jesus with the whole of our lives.
First, we will gather for a service all together to worship.
And along with this is our annual gift day. A once-a-year time of worshipping God through special gifts.
The first ten per cent will be given to bless external missions (local needs, and abroad). And a proportion will be given to the Care Fund, giving rapid-response care to those who find themselves in immediate need. The rest will be used for mission and ministry across the benefice.
Stewarding our places of welcome
We have an opportunity here, with All Saints Church, a beautiful ancient listed building in Hampreston, and Beacon, St. Mary’s, a modern parish centre in the middle of Ferndown. Both places have high footfall - a graveyard and place of prayer, which means so much to the local community; and meeting rooms, with a cafe. And both need ongoing investment to make them as welcoming as possible, with appropriate facilities.
Alpha & Youth Alpha
We would love to increase our Alpha courses, and the biggest need here is to provide more meals, which help facilitate conversation.
A course in January - to follow on from our Christmas invitational events
A course next September - to follow on from Light-Up Dorset - a very special outreach opportunity
A youth Alpha course in January - to follow on from a special Dorset Youth for Christ Carol service we are hosting.
